ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

JUNE 30, 2005

6:45 P.M.   Called meeting to order.  Present:  Paula Keefe, Ellen Abelson, Richard

                   Gorden and Mark Mazur

1.  The Board reviewed and approved the minutes to their 6/9/2005 meeting.

2.  The Board read a letter from State Representative Kafka expressing his gratitude for

     our letter regarding pending legislation on the taxation of telecommunication

     companies.  He also expressed his agreement with our position on the legislation.

3.  The Board read a letter from the representative of our last remaining fiscal year

     2004 Appellate Tax Board case.  The case was continued to November.

4.  The Board reviewed and approved a preliminary list of encumbered amounts for

     fiscal year 2005.

5.  The Board reviewed and approved as amended the wording of the compensation

     section of our contract with Vision Appraisal for data re-inspection services.

6.  The Board decided to review their minutes by email in the future.

7.  The Board read an article from the 6/10/05 Boston Globe concerning tax assessments

     of telecommunication companies.

8.  The Board decided to hold their next meeting at 6:45 P.M. on Thursday July 21, 2005.
